| Ira Bilofsky's is Licensed in Clinical Social Work by the State of Pennsylvania. He is Board Certified in Clinical Social Work by the American Board of Examiners in Clinical Social Work . In September 2007, he receive his second Board Certification in the Specialized Practice with Children and their Families, from the American Board of Examiners in Clinical Social. He received Academy Certified In Clinical Social Work, by the National Association of Social Workers in 1993. He also received Diplomat status in Clinical Social Work from the National Association of Social Work in 1994. Ira Bilofsky's has been in practice for the past 20 years.
He received his training in Structural and Strategic Family Therapies from the Philadelphia Child Guidance Clinic in Philadelphia, PA. This training was completed in 1984.
Ira Bilofsky's areas of specialty are in childhood heredity diseases (ADHD, Tourrette syndrome and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Eating Disorders). Ira Bilofsky's training in Eating Disorders is very specific and updated every two years. He works with Children, Individuals, Families and Marital/Couples.
He has been providing Employee Assistance Counseling services since 1993 for both small and large companies in the Philadelphia and surrounding areas. Ira Bilofsky also has been providing the following services on a first come first serve basis: Crisis Response, Critical Incident Stress Debriefing, as well as, Corporate Training on various topics.
Ira Bilofsky's has also been working with adults and couples. He has helped patient's re-establish career goals, helped couples work out relationship issues, and deals with the transition years dealing with loneliness, grief, and aging.
Ira Bilofsky works very closely with Pediatricians, Family Physicians and General Practioners helping children, teenagers, adults and older adults understand how depression and other mental illnesses can be affected by diabetes, chronic pain and other medical conditions.
He has recently been credentialed to provide Barriatric Bypass evaluations.
